Default Does Everybody Salsa?

Hello all,

My Name is Shawn and I'm 2 days post-op with a Lapband. I was wondering in the phase where I can add eggs if anyone uses Salsa and if it goes down okay??? Thanx!

I don't know what your doctor's plan is like. I was allowed eggs when I was moved onto soft foods. I was on full liquids for a week, then pureed foods for a week, then soft foods. Salsa was fine for me early out, I ate it on refried beans. Went down fine.

Hey Shawn-

I probably wouldn't try it right off the bat, but once you get to soft foods and are okay with them, then test it out. You shouldn't be at soft foods in your first week out, though....

Week 2 was soft foods for me and I've been eating salsa ever since

I actually used hot sauce in most of my clear liquids and broths, just to give them some flavor !!

I was fine with salsa when I was at the soft foods phase, but I made my own. Store bought just never did it for me...not enough spice.

I put salsa on just about everything... one of my go-to foods is a slice of deli meat with half a slice of cheese rolled up around a tablespoon of the hottest salsa I can find.

I too eat salsa at 3 months out..why? Because I am addicted to lycopene and salsa is my "healthy slider" food. I put it on everything as well..
