I haven't been able to do milk since I had gbs. Even sometimes a small drink makes me sick. I can however eat cheese. You might be one of the lucky people that can't drink milk. I know I wish I could drink it.

I would probably cry if I couldn't eat cheese. I know that sounds weird but that's HOW much i like it.

it's pretty common to develop some form of lactose intolerance post-op... when I drink milk (and I have a high protein cereal almost every day for breakfast), I tend to go 50/50 with soy milk and skim milk.

I couldn't do cow's milk for about 6 months after surgery although yogurt, cheese and cottage cheese didn't cause me a problem.

Thankfully, my pouch LOVES milk! I would cry if I couldn't drink milk, I've always been a HUGE fan of milk! (never had a broken bone!) LOL
