I had to wait three months for fresh vegetables, like soft lettuce, carrots, onions, etc. because of the potential for them to get stuck. Up to that point however, I was allowed to eat oranges, grapefruit, applesauce, blueberries, etc.

I had my surgery on September 8, and I remember cheating at Thanksgiving and having a bite of salad. Never in my life have I appreciated the texture of lettuce so much. It's funny, because I mostly forego the salad nowadays--it tends to sit heavy in my pouch, I think it gets a little stuck. If I eat salad, I usually can't eat much of anything else.
