My nut said not to. She is afraid that I'll fill up on roughage and not get my protein in. How far were you when you started eating raw veg. I did eat one but filled it w/ turkey, ham, egg and cheese. so yummy

My doc didn't allow raw veggies or salad until 9 months post op. He is one of the strictest I have seen on here though.

If you are getting your protein in, a little bit of salad shouldn't be a problem, I would think... but I guess you should stay with your own plan.

I was about 5 months out when I started adding small salads in to my diet. My nut encouraged getting some roughage.

Adding proteins to a salad is a good option, I would think.
