Breakfast ideas?
Hi all,
I have been getting pretty bored with scrambled eggs for breakfast and was wondering what other protein foods make for a good breakfast. I'll be on solid foods starting this week and am ready to add more variety (than the eggs and cottage cheese) for breakfast. I absolutely hate my protein shakes so I am trying to get as much protein from foods so that I don't have to drink more than one scoop of the shake per day.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Breakfast is tricky for me, since eggs do not agree with me, never have.
Some of these suggestions may be for later, your still fresh out.
My favorite is lactaid milk with special K low carb cereal. Add slivered almonds and fruit.
If you like coffee, you can make a latte. The milk has a good amount of protein, for me, I can not have caffiene. (kidney issue) So what I make instead is a delisious cup of hot/ steamed milk sweetened with splanda and a shake of cinnamon!! The best ever!!!
Sometimes I eat yogurt or cheese stick or fruit w/ nut spread (peanut butter or almond spread).
Also do not be shy to go outside the norm. I chunk of meat is a good protein punch.
Hope this helps!

I am not much on breakfast food in the morning. I would rather have a lunch or dinner thing but here's a couple of ideas. Canadian bacon or ham, bacon, sliced cheese of any kind, yogurt (add your protein powder to it), nuts, lite cream cheese ( I eat it with sliced tomato or cucmbers), turkey sausage (you really have to chew it well), left overs from dinner. I hope that helps a little bit. I usually eat string cheese, nuts, or leftovers because I am always on the go.

Don't Laugh
I have to post here, but don't laugh--I am known as the cheese stick and banana lady. Almost every morning, my breakfast consists of three mozzarella cheese sticks and a banana.
I don't mind eating the same thing repetitively, especially now that I'm maintaining my weight. I know that cheese sticks and bananas are basically good foods for me and I don't gain weight with them. You might try them occasionally for a change of pace.
Good luck!

Cottage Cheese with a lil bit of jelly swirled in it, cottage cheese contains a great amount of protein.
Bacon, banana, yogurt, cheese stick. This morning it was OJ and cup of coffee and a handful of vitamins... uh oh looks like Im resorting to my old ways n stuff.....

Every day I have the same thing... a protein shake and a couple of pieces of crispy bacon.

Turkey, heck no I like mine from the pig.
I make a mocha latte at home with some protein mixed in using skim milk and low carb cocoa mix.
In my early stages, I ate a lot of smoked salmon. 3 ozs has 21 g protein in it. I'd take a small slice lox and place it on a ritz cracker. Then a small slice of brie with some capers sprinkled on top. Then a few minutes in the toaster oven. Viola! I could eat two at that time.
