Question What do you eat?

I'm almost 3 months out and I'm still feeling like I'm not sure what to eat. At 3 months I'm released to eat with no restrictions. Can you all give me a day in the life of you?

Here is a link to my surgeon's food plans. Maybe these will be helpful. I couldn't upload all of the different food plans so I had to cut and paste a couple. I'm afraid I lost part of the formatting but I still think you can get the idea.

My surgeon's food plan

If anyone would like me to email them to you as attachements, let me know. I would be happy to.

I just checked my food log at 3 months out and I pretty much ate what I wanted.

Having said that, I was still going through some lactose intollerance (not now) so couldn't do milk but cheese and yogurt were OK.

AND - I struggled with any meat unless it was finely ground. I still have issues with meat (feels like a brick in my pouch) to the point where I just don't bother with it now. I do eat a lot of fish though.

I did not eat processed carbs (crackers, pasta, rice etc)., but I noticed that I was eating a good amount of veggies/salad, beans, lentils etc. by then.

My diet then isn't too different to what I eat now at getting on for 15 months out (cept for the quantity).

I've stuck to the programme - no cookies, cake, candy or the like and I don't use commercially prepared meals.

I like to cook and I make every bite count. For the first time in my life, I have control over my eating and my body deserves the best I can give it.
