Default Your favorite protein powders

I've been using Jay Robb's strawberry and chocolate whey protein for several months mainly because it was the only protein powder that I could buy a small packet of to try and it tasted okay. Lately I've been thinking maybe there is something better out there. The manager at the Vitamin Shoppe did not speak very highly of Jay Robb's products but I don't want to buy a big container of something. I have a protein smoothie pretty much every morning for breakfast. One other thing I've been looking at is the Sytex Nectars, particularly the caribbean drink which I'm told tastes like a pina colada. I'd love to find a sample or small container of it to try. I get the bulk of my proteins in this morning fix (protein/milk) so want something that is a good source of protein. Do I need to shop somewhere other than the Vitamin Shoppe? I'm counting on all of you for help!

If You Like Shake Type Drinks, Spiritein Is Good. I Like The Simply Natural Ones As I Can Sweeten To My Taste. Sometimes The Other Kind Is Too Sweet.

vitalady.com has the best selection of samples I know of and they're all of a quality we need.

Personally, I like the milk type protein powders - Champion Whey Stack is probably my favourite of all time - cocoa mocachino (sp) especially. I like to mix a scoop of it with half a scoop of Spirutein Soy Protein in chocolate.

Corey,

I've just checked vitalady.com and they have samples of both the Syntrax Nectar and Syntrax Naturals Vitalady.com - Protein Supplements, Vitamins & Minerals, and Safe Snacks!

There is another website that is cheaper for samples, and they tend to send extra ones just to try. It is...

Samples

Good luck and I hope you find the best protein source for you.

I swear by Unjury. I couldnt stand the protein drinks in the beginning and seriously, if I look at some of them now I still get pukie feeling. I tried diffrent drinks and powders until finally I came along Unjury. I get the chocolate unjury and mix 8 oz milk, 2 tablespoons sugarfree international house delights swiss chocolate mix, and peppermint extract. Sometimes I switch it up with different extracts.. Rasberry, Orange, Almond, etc.. Now I look forward to them. Love them!

I hate to say this because I will seem biased because I work for a supplement website so just know I am trying to educate not sway you in my direction. Buying from chain stores like GNC, Vitamin shoppe, Vitamin World and Mom and pop vitamin shops is a huge rip. In the supplement industry there are 3 prices, MSRP, Wholesale and discounted wholesale. lets say that a manufacturer has a wholesale price on Protein for $30 they will sell that protein to brick and mortar stores for a discounted price below wholesale between 25% and 45% larger ones that are corporate like GNC, VS, VW get 45%. so they are paying $16.50. ( hypothetical but close to the accurate numbers ) now the manufacturers set a ridiculously high MSRP for something that has a WS of $30, the MSRP would probably be $75+. Corporate shops always sell at MSRP, Mom and pops sell at as high of a price as they can and still move product. Online retailers on the other hand have to compete harder to get you to purchase from them. Usually you can purchase at or slightly below WS. With protein you will get nailed on shipping but most web sites have free shipping on orders over $100. Usually you can request samples of most products from shops, so that gives you the capability to try it. Also sometimes if you find the product you want online and take it in to mom and pops they can price match, and give you a discount. Sorry for the long rant but I hate when people get taken advantage of.
