This has been a good thread to read - even at nearly 8 months out - I needed it! I'm not good with my protein intake at all... and feel like going shopping after work today!

Thanks all!

Get your bootie shopping Katie!! I know that this is a must for us WLS patients, and I hope that I will not fall off the band wagon after surgery but I am sure that it is easy to do, as in your case. Keep me posted. Go and get those shakes girl!! :O)

I am doing great! Three weeks post op Monday. I love the vitamins. I highly recomend celebratevitamins.com. They are easly chewable and come in great flavors. I have the orange multi vitamin chewable and the strawberry creme or something like that calcium's. My dr did not want me to take the sublingual b-12 or the iorn yet until they do my blood count this week so I am waiting on those. I also want to let you know that I went with the 90 day supply as it was a better price. I feel so much better knowing that I am taking vitamins that are specifically for WLS patients!!

Wow congrats on the three weeks post op.

celebratevitamins.com defenitely noting that and I love how they are specified for WLS patients I do understand how happy and releiving that must be because I go into any vitamin store and tell them what I need and they look at me like I am crazy one person actually told me I will die if I take that much of vitamin A but then I have to remember that they are not specialized in the WLS person but the "normal" person

It amazes me how each surgeon is different because as soon as I get home from surgery the Dr. wants me to start on the b12 vitamins and wait a week to start the proteins and all the other vitamins back up.

I did see my Dr. yesterday and he has put me on a protein and vitamin only diet up until surgery he said if I don't lose more weight we may have to post pone surgery. Him telling me that was just heartbreaking I have worked so hard for the last few years to get this surgery and if I don't lose some more weight he will post pone.

I am happy for you and were you are in your journey keep it up.
