Default Protein at Starbucks (latte)

I was just at my local Bux and was talking with the girl who works there. I noticed some little cups behind the counter that I've never seen before. I asked her what it was. She said starting the 3rd. they'll be serving oatmeal. I thought that was cool. She went on to tell me that along with the oatmeal they're bringing back the Pumpkin Spice latte's and fraps as well, including Pumpkin Cheesecake. Then she told me something very interesting. They'll be introducing a "protein latte" ... she said it's basically a plain latte with protein powder blended in. I told her I thought that was WAY COOL! I explained about the surgery I had and that I was bummed that the Vivanno had so much sugar in it, and it made me really sick when I tried it. She said she was sorry to hear that and told me that they'd be happy to add protein to ANY drink I order ... they'll dump scoops of it in my frap, iced caramel machiatto ... YOU NAME IT!
I was very happy
I told her how wonderful that would be since drinking the same protein drink at home everyday gets WAY boring. She agreed that must suck, and said "Next time you come in ... we'll HOOK YOU UP!!!"

Just had to share!!!

I just might be the only one excited over this news!

All my protein comes from protein drinks 3x a day. The same thing ... day after day after day. I can't eat like the rest of you can ... so to me, this is AWESOME news!!!

I don't know, ya'll...I can't even taste the protein in the Vivanno. The next time I have cash for Starbuck's...I'll ask about putting protein in. I'd love to be able to have a decent tasting coffee, but also get the protein as well. (Though their coffee is so strong...)

Thanks for the tip, Jules!

On a serious note, you need to start testing your pouch. My doctor specifically told me not to eat the same thing every day and not rely on soup, cottage cheese, soft stuff all the time. You have to take it little by little!

I've never tried the Vivanno b/c there aren't any Starbucks nearby. I'll have to try that, though.
