Default Regarding Iced Tea

My wife cut this article out of Womansday magazine. I knew that caffeine dehydrates you to some degree and you need to compensate, but I also heard that it can leech calcium from your bones. This blurb seems to have a different opinion:

"Chill out with Iced Tea. Add strong bones to the list of tea's health benefits. Research has found that women who drink tea have higher bone mineral densities than those who don't. Brewing it up yourself ups the antioxidant power."

To this I raise a glass of Sweet Tea!

That's how I've been looking at it. I treat myself to Iced Tea only if I have had all my water for the day.

I have the 4C brand of SF iced tea (also like Crystal light)..

I also drink hot decaf tea as well.. so I count both as 'fluid'.

And of course now, after taking my surgeon's nutritionists word for it, maybe caffeine isn't even dehydrating to the degree I was told. Probably should have done this research before.

When my friends from Australia came to my house my mom offered them some iced tea, and they have never heard of it. They only have hot tea.

I like the Walmart brand of SF peach tea, and when I was reading the ingrediants, I didn't find caffeine on the list. It must be caffeine free!
