Thumbs up Top 5 fat-flushing fruits

This is info from FIRST magazine.

"In order to turbo charge weightloss, you need to consume low-energy density fruit (ED) which contains the highest volume of water, fiber and enzymes. The best and most slimming options are listed from best to good choices. All are great.

Strawberries
Raspberries, Watermelon and Grapefruit
Cantaloupe, Honeydew, Papaya, Peaches and Tangerines.
Apricots, and Pineapple
and last but not least, Oranges, Plums, Blueberries and Apples.

Side note: I am pleased, as I eat one of these a day at least. My favs tangerines, Pineapple, Apple and Strawberries. Ohers I consume weekly not listed are Mango and Bananas.

I love fruit! But it does contain alot of sugars. At Nubella.com is a nutrition newsletter I receive and it has a great area for nutrition stats on all kinds of food.

Yes, but it's natural sugars and not added. That's a good thing.

Thanks for the info, Bridget... I haven't ventured too far into the fruit family, yet.. still doing the 'focus on protein' thing

I have had a section of orange a time or two, swiped from my fiance YUMM

Default Watermelon

Ha ha ha... I have been craving and eating Watermelon like there is no tomorrow! I use it as a base for my protein smoothie every morning for breakfast. I also use it as "dessert" after my last meal of the day. Also, I think it is helping to keep me hydrated!

Deborah, there are 46 calories in 1 cup cubed watermelon and even 1 little gram of protein. Just remember though, at your stage it stil has to be protein first. Nothing wrong with watermelon but don't eat so much that it forfeits eating your protein.
