The TJ Non-fat Pomegranite Greek Yogurt is the best...I love it

thanks for boosting this.. 2 things have happened since I last posted on here.. well 3

first, I found vanilla sf carnation at the higher end grocery store (Dierbergs here in St Louie) and bought 2 boxes

second, I did what (I think sherry7??) suggested and used coffee filters to strain regular nonfat yogurt - and it worked GREAT. So now I got it for less cost My mom verified this method as she was around in the 70's when they used to do this and called it "yogurt cheese"

third, I have found a little bit of the sf vanilla pudding powder (1 tsp?) helps thicken up the shake that Beth (MiladyB) posted - minus the crystal light and splenda - has a great flavor

I've been doing the shake for several days now and have started losing weight again *YAY YAY YAY*

Let us know if you think of any new yummy ways to eat it, Eric

I tried the Fage and liked it! I had a tiny bit by itself, just to see what it tasted like, and it was very much like sour cream - great texture even with the 0% fat. Definitely a good choice for making dips for veggies, etc., when I reach the point of being allowed to eat them raw. I used the Fage mixed with my canned chocolate protein shake, with added chocolate protein powder, peanut butter, and a packet of Splenda, and split it into a breakfast serving and a lunch serving. It was a little too thick, but adding ice cubes or a little water should fix that.

I have some Syntrax Nectar coming via UPS tomorrow (Fuzzy Navel flavor) - has anyone tried mixing it with Fage (either with water as a shake or just stirred into the yogurt itself) to sweeten the flavor of the yogurt and boost the protein content even further? If so, how was it?

I tried it today too! I went to T.J.'s today and bought some of the 0%, 2% and pomegranet flavor. Also bought some "European style" T.J.s brand yogurt. I'm gonna try them all and see which I like the best.
I just tried the 0% with trail mix crunch cereal in it. It needed some splenda to sweeten to my taste but filled me up!
Gonna try some in a smoothie next. I think I"m gonna like this stuff... packs a protein punch!

I've never been able to find Fage here, but they have Oikos Greek Yogurt at my regular grocer. Unfortunately I can never find the vanilla Carnation Instant Breakfast. They have the chocolate and the variety pack, but no vanilla. I'll have to check out other places besides where I frequent. I'm sure the Carnation tastes better than my usual protein powder and I don't really need the 20+ grams of protein per scoop that the yucky stuff gives me. I'm on a mission!

Fage fans, have you tried Oikos and is it the same thing? Is Fage somehow better and I should keep looking, or is Oikos the same and we are all living the same yogurt heaven? LOL!

I think someone posted the states for okios and though similar, the FAGE had better nutritional numbers... maybe do a search for it on the forum to find it?

(oh.. also someone posted a link where you can buy the vanilla carnation alone, as well www.carnationinstantbreakfast.com)

I can't find fage where I'm at but found the oikos at walmart last weekend and bought the 0% with blueberries. It wasnt that bad at all. But at the price I paid for it I probably won't be buying it a whole lot.
