Default Lower fat peanut butter

I've posted about this find of mine before but its been awhile so I thought I would post about it again. I found this peanut butter online that is fantastic with a MUCH lower count of fat and calories. Granted the protein isn't as high but it is close and if you like to use or eat peanut butter but you worry about the fat content and calories this may be your answer.

It is a powdered peanut butter. I know, sounds gross, but I can assure you that it isn't. When you take off the cover all you can smell is the wonderful smell of peanuts. You mix it with water and it looks and tastes just like a creamy peanut butter without all of the fat and calories. I add it to smoothies, yogurt, in peanut type sauces...any time you would use peanut butter you will use this.

If you wonder about the ingredients? Well all it there is are peanuts and salt. Nothing more.

It is called PB2

WOW!!!
That's a HUGE difference. But it just sounds so gross!
I buy almond butter and just love it ... although I limit myself to two tablespoons every other day just because it's so high in fat and calories. I'm gonna check this stuff out ... thank you so much for the tip.

And, uh, you swear it's not gross??!!!

Okay, I went to the website. They have an interesting product review from a radio show you can listen to. It's kinda lengthy, but it's very interesting.
I see you have to order at least 4 jars for $16 ... how much do they charge for shipping?
I'm seriously thinking of ordering this.
I absolutely love scooping up almond butter with pretzels.
If I had this stuff I could eat it every day!

One more question ... besides the shipping costs ... how much does a jar make? Right now a 16 ounce jar of regular almond butter last me 5-6 weeks.

Julie, it says that a jar makes 16 2 Tbsp servings. My jars last a long time but I'm not a huge peanut butter eater. It honestly isn't gross! *L* I brought it to my support group and let the members try it and everyone was sold on the product. Not one didn't like it except for the one allergic to peanuts. *L* I've mentioned this product on the forum before and I know that there were several who ordered it and all of them loved it.

Shipping is 7.83 but if you know of anyone else who may be interested in your area just split the cost. That's what I did. I split the cost with a couple members of my support group. I will admit it isn't a cheap product but if you are craving peanut butter it is a great substitute.

Also they do guarantee their products. If you don't like the peanut butter you can send back 3 unopened jars for a full refund.

Does anyone have a Kroger, or recall when Kroger used to sell PB that you ground and "mixed" yourself in the deli section?

I wonder if anyone still does that and you can buy just the ground up peanuts...

Booo I've tried to order 16 jars for my mom, my friend and myself and the delivery costs just killed me... 295$ by UPS or almost 50$ for US mail. Bummer

Julie, on the ground up pb we have the machines at most of the health food stores here in Wisc. (no help to you) and they have them in some grocery stores.

Maybe check the health food stores, it is still very high in fat. Oh so yummy however!!
