thanks for the recipe Beth! I'm gonna go check out whole foods and see if I can find the yogurt y'all are talking about. guess it's time to take some risks LOL I am hiding in the protein drink section and having a hard time venturing out to the soft foods aisle.

I swear by my Magic Bullet ... but it does whip in a lot of air. I make my shake first thing in the morning, then I let it sit in the fridge for a good 2 hours before drinking, just to let the air settle out of it.
Your powder will be as smooth as can be using this.

didnt someone say they dilute those protein things? I got one of each flavor to try but found them too strong and the texture was nasty.

Doesnt someone dilute them in a smidge of water to get them down?

I drink them a shot glass worth at a time and follow up with a sf popsicle which helps the icky texture/taste go away very quickly

my nut said you are wasting most of your suppliment if you take in more than 15g at a time. Your body can only absorb 15g or so at a time...

Only 15 grams? That's the lowest number I've ever heard quoted. I don't mean to argue with your nutritionist but that is pretty hard to believe. I mean a 4 oz hamburger has more protein than that! I've talked to several nutritionists and a physician that specializes in nutrition and they all have told me that the 30 gram number we hear floating around has no scientific backing and it simply isn't true. I've heard this from several medical sources along with doing my own investigating on-line. I'm a nurse and a bariatric support group leader so I try really hard to check things out when I hear them and this 15g limit or 30 g limit really isn't something that has been found to be true.

hey, it's what she said....15-18 I think were her exact speculations.

Like I said before, you ask 10 people, you get 10 different answers. That is the key for newbies on here - everyone is DIFFERENT. Every surgeon and nut is different...

that's why it is IMPERATIVE that we are "informed" rny'ers...you know?

to sort out fact from fiction.

I dilute mine (when I do drink them.. I still have 6 of the orig. 12 I bought).. I use 2 oz of the bullet, and 6 oz of crystal light sunrise, 2 oz of crystal light raspberry & ice.

I dilute mine with white grape juice, a bit of water, and ice.
Just liked the way it tasted.

BillH -

I've just started putting the shot (1 oz) in a glass of diluted grape juice - pretty good eh? I like it anyway...

I've been thinking about adding the shot to yogurt or cottage cheese but haven't gotten up the nerve just yet..
