Default Getting enough protein??

I am currently not getting enough protein in my diet and do not know what to do? They want at least 50 grams a day but I find that I really am not hungry and would rather drink all day I recently have tried adding protein powder to different things they say it is tasteless but it smells horrible Any suggestions???????

I bought some protein vials from The Vitamin Shoppe. I think the fruit punch tastes the best. You can get a vial with 42g for a couple bucks, or a case of 12 for $30 or so. You can sip on those too.

I swear by Isopure passion fruit or Alpine Punch pre-mixed liquid protein drinks. I too get mine at Vitamin Shoppe, they are like $3 each and about $45 for a case of 12. I like it and bring it to work with me. It has 40g of protein and only 160 calories. I hope that helps! Good luck!

I do the new whey liquid protien bullets as well... I'm only 1.5 weeks post op and it makes a huge diff to be able to get down a high amt of protien in such a low volume (3.1 ounces=42 g protien)... I don't know how I could get even close without them.

I finally had to just get some body builder whey protien ... the taste is less harsh.... I take a achieve one coffe drink (20g) and 1 scoop of that poweder (25G) and a little liquid fiber and then pour it over ice.... and it takes me most of the day to drink it but the coffe is so strong that is covers the nasty whey smell and taste....

Since I didnt have any achiev One this weekend..I used a half of an edge advantage shake (8g) , 1/2 cup of milk (8G) 1 scoop (25g) mixed it all up in the blender and then added about 1 cup coffe.... poured it over ice and it puts me right at 41G..

I am not doing well yet with solids... my pouch dont particularly like much .. but I know I will get there .. I am a special case and my body has been through quite a bit and iis probably taking a little longer to heal than most..... so I have to get it in however I can....

the water has been just as tough.... so I do about 2 SF popcicles a day.. to help with that ..

I really like Any Whey powder I buy from Barix. It has a neutral taste and can be added to sweet and savory things alike, including soups and pudding or whatever. I tried Biochem vanilla whey powder, and I nearly vomited. I tossed a full container right out.

I actually have to watch that I'm not having too much protein.
