Don't care for goat cheese much, though...

I've looked for it in several stores since the original posting. I LOVE melty cheese!

So far, no luck at Star Market, Shaw's, and Whole Foods. I'm gonna check Big Y this weekend since G loves to go shopping when he's here... there's a dearth of good shopping where he lives :-/

Thanks! I think I'm going to Super Walmart tomorrow so I'll check there. If not, I'll try Price Chopper. I also have Stop n Shop here too. Do you have the "super-Shaws"? if not, it may be at one of those. They have a HUGE cheese dept.

If all else fails, I'll CALL Hannafords! Before making the long ass trip!

What about Trader Joe's? Has anyone seen it there????

I just have to mention that here in Tucson (and in some other cities, including in Mexico) there is a Mexico City-style chain called La Parrilla Suiza ("The Little Swiss Grill", so called because of the restaurant's extensive use of melted white, Swiss-looking, cheeses). La Parrilla Suiza serves an outstanding appetizer of a sizzling chafing dish (different sizes for different numbers of people) of melted, bubbling, browned queso blanco with fresh tortillas and three delicious salsas. It was one of my favorite things in the world and I used to be able to eat the "family sized" one with extra tortillas all by myself. No longer. Now you've all got me thinking that I might want to go there for my birthday (in a couple of weeks) and share the smallest size with some friends, sin las tortillas, por supuesto!

You just cut a thick slice and put it in non-stick pan and brown it on both sides. It is amazingly good. Just like a grilled cheese w/o the bread and butter. It doesn't melt like you would expect. It stays together and gets a little crispy.
