Default Question about Liquid Diet

I am on day 3 of my liquid diet it is going ok, I am a bit hungry but I hope that will pass, lol, anyway I have been reading alot of the posts on here and other sites, I am confused, I am allowed all of the sugar free popsicles, jello andbroth soups that I want and of course sugar free beverages. I am allowed up to two protein shakes a day. I can also have one cup of milk, 8oz light yogurt or 1/2 cup of cottage cheese up to 3 times a day.
so what has me really stumped is the cottage cheese, does taht seem strange that I can have that to anyone else? Maybe I am just reading into this to much, I just want to do everything right!

Cottage cheese really isn't considered a "liquid", neither is yogurt. But considering you are still preop I suspect your surgeon is allowing the cottage cheese just so you have some kind of solid to make it easier to stick with the diet. I was on solids until the day before surgery. My preop diet consisted strictly of a Bariatric protein product. In order to shrink your liver what you need is a high protein, very low fat and low calorie diet. Low fat cottage cheese would fit in that kind of diet. If your surgeon is fine with it I wouldn't worry. Preop diets seem to really vary between surgeons.

Please do no worry, especially if you are following your doctor's diet, which you are. Surgeons seem to all have different definitions of "liquid". My first days home from the hospital I was allowed puddings and jello, which some surgeons don't consider liquids. Keep doing what the doctor says and you will be fine!!
