Default Please don't shoot me!

I know this really shouldn't be under the 'nutritional' thread but I couldn't think where to put it.

My question is - does beer contain much sugar?

I'm going on a work trip to Madrid this weekend and we get unlimited beers included for free - now I am by no means planning on drinking lots but I was wondering if I would be able to drink just one beer? I am fine with carbonation but am worried about the sugar content - I do dump on over 10 grams of sugar. How much sugar is in beer - anyone know?

I found this on Fitday.com:

Try some beer at home first - don't take a chance by having something new while away.

God Claire - you are so sensible - now why didn't I think of that?! Only trouble is that I leave tomorrow morning and there is no beer in my house right now. Hmm what's a girl to do?

I'm liking Jeanie's point of view that's in protein though!
