Default don't get tricked by low carbs

I just wanted to share something for everyone to watch out for. Just because something is low carb and made with splenda does not mean low calorie. yesterday we went to the incredible cheesecake factory for lunch and i noticed they have a low carb cheese cake(6 carbs) made with splenda. I asked for the nutritional break down and was told they didn't have it, but it does have a lot of fat to compensate for the low carbs. when the waitress came i asked her how the low carb cheese cake was and she said she prefers the regular cheesecake and especially since the low carb one has more calories than the regular due to the amount of fat they have to use to compensate for the low carbs.

I prefer to have a smaller piece of the "real" stuff than to binge on something just because it's labeled "low carb". A calorie is a calorie, not matter where it comes from; fat, protein, or carbohydrates. Especially after you get near goal and the honeymoon's over. It's a balance of getting enough protein and nutrients without adding too many calories for your body.
