I have eaten regular cheese and I have been okay with it. I can not stand FF or even reduced fat. Just doesn't taste good to me. I checked with my dr. and he said he rather me eat the regular and get the protein in, rather than not finishing the FF. Just a thought.

As little as we can eat at least at first I cna't imagine regular cheese is going to do you in...besides even with restricted intake life is just to short to eat bad food! Oh wiat maybe that attitudei what made me fat in the first place?
Seriously eat regular cheese.. it's worth it.
Also take protien supplements if you aren't eating enough meat or something to get more protien it's vitally important!

I've never eaten much in the way of meat - fish is OK but cheese has always been important in my diet.
Anyone got any suggestions?

I use Tillamook brand cheese. It costs a little more, but the taste is well worth it. I use the regular cheese to add a little protein here and there too. What I really miss right now is what my mother used to make me for a quick breakfast. Sliced cheese on bread then put under the broiler until the cheese melts. Yum!
Teri
P.S. Visit Tillamook, OR some time and tour the Tillamook cheese factory...fascinating place and yummy cafeteria there!

OMG. Tilamook white aged cheddar... or Sargentos colby jack cheese rods... Forget string cheese, that stuff is nasty. lol Sargentos chipolte cheddar cheese rods are good, too, if you can handle the kick.

I LOVE CHEESE! I don't buy the lowfat/FF stuff. I don't eat too much of it so I'd rather enjoy it!

Well, I had some British Vintage Cheddar last night (thank you www.igourmet.com).
I cut back and had 14g rather than the 28g but it was so worth it just to have something tasty in my mouth.
Thank you as always.

Cheesy melts. My mom used to make the same thing for us as kids, except she put it on a roll instead of bread. I also love it on a bagel. Yummy!!!

My hospital recommended the 17% fat cheese for after surgery. I am able to eat normal full fat as well for a treat but in moderation and as part of a meal where it is the only significant fat source.

I don't do the FF cheese either. I don't tolerate solids very well and cheese is a BIG staple of mine also. I have cheese with EVERYTHING. Amy, I have 4 kinds in my fridge at the moment. hehehe Gotta go to the grocery store and catch up with you! LOL
