Default No calorie containing beverages!

Has anyone's else nutritionist said this?
I was told in my nutrition class no calorie containing beverages.
BUT.....I was also told after surgery i could drink crystal light. Well it has 5 calories per 8oz glass. So what the heck?
I am not big on plain water, and i am trying to get used to drinking my water (fluids) begore surgery. So i was drinking water with just a smidge of chrystal light in it. I am not big on sweet drinks so i just put a small amount in for little flavor, but then i noticed it does have 5 calories.
Should i ask the nutritionist? What do you guys drink?

You should clarify what the nutritionist meant. Of course, I can't be sure, but I'm thinking your nutritionist meant drinks like sodas (160 calories) or Starbucks (100 calories to 300+ calories) or milk or things like that. I can't believe the nutritionist would prohibit Crystal Light (5 calories) or even Diet Snapple (10 calories).

It's very good that you're planning ahead. Good work!

Default How many Calaries a day

While were on the topic of calories. Does anyone know how many calories and fat grams and carb we are suppose to have each day in order to loss weight. I am just willy nilly eating healthy stuff with no real plan of attack. I would love to have some guide lines besides just eating 50 grams of protein a day.

Thanks any information would be helpful.
