Hey there,

Well I am still doing the great soft/puree diet LOL... so I really haven't tried anything in there yet. I did see a lot though I would like to try out! I saw a feta and spinach omlette but I can't remember if it's in there or I saw it on the recipes on here LOL... I was just thinking the other day while choking down my protein shake I should have that for breakfast LOL... although I wouldn't get too have much of it. I think my 2 yr old eats more than I do LOL... I will let you know though when I make them!

Smile Slimming world cook book

Hello thought I would let you know about the book I have from slimming world.

It is a great book and even though like you I am still on soft foods I think just looking at it makes me feel like I cant wait to start eating normal foods.

I have my first band fill oct 16th and cant wait to get that over with and start doing all the things I used to do like lifting etc again.

I wish you well and hope you enjoy the shakes lol

take Care Dianne

Hi Dianne!

Where do you get the slimming world cookbook is it online? Thank you for the extra info it's good to know there are always different ideas and it's great to get some things we will actually eat LOL... I know what you mean about normal foods LOL... I am a bit nervous about it all at the same time LOL.. I guess that is good though it keeps me in check! LOL Take care and good luck with your fill! I don't think I will ever "enjoy" the shakes LOL...

It's worth check with your library.

I was surprised to find a couple of cookbooks (the one that Melody suggested one another) aimed at WLS patients available at the library.

I ordered them online and they'll be delivered on our Outreach service.

Hey there Dianne!

I hope you had a great weekend! I will look for that one, I need all the help I can get LOL... I am doing good, I think I over did myself this week though. My area where my JP drain was is really sore tonight. Like to the point every time I move it hurts. I have a Drs appt tomorrow luckily so I will add it to my list of questions. Other than that I am doing great! How about you how's everything going with you?

Hey Corrine,

Thanks! I will have to finally get my library card here LOL... We moved to a new town last year and I just haven't made it there yet. I guess there isn't a better time right! LOL... We are in a pretty small town so wish me luck!

Smile Hello Melody

Good Morning how are you? I hope you had a nice weekend.

I had a great day with my old ladies yesterday we made xmas cards in our group. Being a volunteer at a care home is so rewarding. They cant understand why I dont have my usual peice of cream cake and coffee anymore (bless them) I had gained in the year I have been working there at least 6 stone. So they think I am ill.

I have told them I have had an op on my tummy and thats all they need to know I think, at their age they wont understand anyone having this done I dont think? I was hungry last night when i got home and ate 2 portions of the fish allowance I know it was to much I didnt feel in it my tummy as I have not had the first band adjustmant yet but I hope this does not mean I will gain weight this week.

Roll on the 16th oct as I am starting to find it hard to control the hunger monster lol

take care Dianne
