Default diet pill problems!!!

hey everyone....i got start on a new pill on monday APIDEX-P 37.5mg (phentermine hydrochloride tablets) anyway my dietician said to take half a tablet everyday at 10:00am. any only to take full tablet if i notice nothing... well stupid me decided to start off with one tablet and it was okay first two days i felt full and started eating healthy at the same time.. i only eat twice in the day and healthy..but then i started feeling like crap...like food was still lodge in my throat..i thought it was only going to make me feel full with my my normal eating which was horrible... but since i started the pill i decided to go all out and try eating healthy than ever. after two days i didnt eat any breakfast except some grapes.. and i was full and then for lunch i eat a small chicken caesar salad and i almost couldnt finish that and felt like throwing up.. for dinner i had some pasta and peas... and again i couldnt really finish eating that..i use to drink like a bottle of pepsi a day and i cant drink more than 3 cups in a day now..like im not even thinking about it.. should i be feeling this way...im changing my eating habits to good and im still feeling stuff and sick...i dont want to stop eating all together and slow down my metabolism. i thought the pill was going to help me get full with my normal diet that was horrible. i dont want to feel sick... and its hard cause one minute i feel full and like food is lodge even after eating very small healthy meals and 4 hours go by and then i start feeling hungry.. there no happy medium...i want to continue eating healthy small meals but no feel sick... because its not worth it...u shouldnt have to go through this..fastfood and going crazy with portions is one thing to get sick for, but eating a damn salad shouldnt get me full like that...and sick ...any suggestions please!!!

Eldin,
I would ask the Dr office that prescribed the medication for you, or the nutritionist. Did you try the half a pill? Maybe it's the soda that is making you feel so full and ill. Can you switch to something non carbonated? Wish I had some answers. For us post oppers, it's a lot of trial and error...and it changes daily.

I know that some medications work by tricking the sensors in your stomach into believing it is full... these "sensors" are located at the top of your stomach, which will become your pouch after surgery... sounds like MAYBE a full pill was just too much on your system!

I'm sure the soda isn't helping either...

i just changed back to half a pill like i was told to do. it i felt better because at least after a simple meal i didnt feel completely full to the point where i needed to throw up...i want to be able to have simple meals and not feel hungry and not feel stuff. i'm also getting worried about post up because i feel that i dont know the right way and the right things to eat.. im a simple very i dont like complex meals, i'm more for just traditional foods. i dont know how to cook and therefore i dont know what i would be eating afterwards. i wish i can take like a course on eating to show me what to look for and what to eat. it was kinda cool when i was in the hospital for over a month i was on a diet and the food they brought me was very low on calories, and i was okay with eating those things.. i lost like 40lbs during my hospital stay. about the soda i cant drink one can or two a days, not even diet.. what liquids beside water do you drink then.

I suggest you get "Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies" book... there are food suggestions in there, and should help you with other concerns... Your surgeon should have you working with a Nutritionist... he/she will help you create a list of proteins you can handle as a non-cook - and make you feel better about your future eating habits.
