Default Dara

I was ok at the meeting. Comments were a little rough for me, being my first meeting and all, and I don't know if I will be comfortable enough at the next meeting to open up...but we will see. I would rather stick with the support I receive by calling those who are truely interested in my well being instead of tring to prove they know it all. At least I have been able to meet some really awesome individuals who care. Thanks for asking Dara...after that extended response you may feel like you wish you hadn't. lol. sorry.

Awwe kelly,

Open up, that is what it is for. I didn't feel good when everyone jumped down my throat for smoking, but hey, support is support, I know its true, but sometimes we need to hear it. Support isn't always cream and sugar. As Dara said, we gotta take the good with the bad. I would rather hurt your feelings in truth than to enable you through cream and sugar. I don't think anyone knows it all, nor do I think anyone thinks they know it all. Just my opinion. Would you sweetly say to your child about to cross the street in front of a moving truck," honey don't go in the street, a truck is coming, no, you would yell to your child, in fear and run after them." I think you were fine until someone planted a seed that you were jumped on. I think some people feed the fire, just my opinion. I always feel like the finger is pointed at me, but then I awlays felt that way in Church too. I want to see you succeed in every way possible, and wish you the very best.

Hugs,

Traci

I have to say Traci you are right! I would not be very nice to my child if he ran in the street and almost got creamed by a truck...I would yell and tell him what would have happened. I am fine, hey, a month until the next one, I'm sure I will forget all about it...right The best part about it though was I got it out and admitted what I was weak at. Now I know my weakness, and it is not a good one. I have been watching everything since...and what do you know, the scale is moving once again. lol.
Thanks Traci for your words of wisdom.

You are doing very well, and we all have weaknesses, and I have one for chocolate, I love chocolate. I think most of us slip off the old wagon after all, thin people eat chocolate too. And you will again, but now you know you can hang that in front of you as a motivating device. A taste, man what a taste does for us now. In the old days I could eat a whole box. My last binge was a few months before surgery, and I fell into a box of krispee cream donuts and didnt come up for air for three days. A bite doesnt hurt me, but half a doughnut makes me nauseated, I don't know what a whole one would do and I don't want to find out.

Can't wait for the next meeting, to see all the progress you and the other new post ops have made. That is always exciting to watch the newer post ops as they ride the waves, this far out our weight loss is slim to none, but we haven't forgotten those waves. This time next year you will be getting ready for the spring in your new wardrobe. You are so young and beautiful, and you have a whole new life ahead of you and your child.

Good luck and BIG HUGS,

Traci
