trouble with vitamin E?

My file has been sent to insurance, but I don't have a date yet. I recently added an extra dose of vitamin E to my morning vitamin ritual hoping it would help in the healing process after the operation. I just noticed a warning on the bottle against taking too much before or after surgery. Does anyone out there know why? I alway though vitamin E was suposed to aide in the healing process
