Best food: Any thing with beans....casserolles, chili, my dad makes the best bean salad with splenda, tortilla soup with chicken or burger.....love, love love that stuff. Oh yea, Blue Bunny sweet freedom yogurt with kashi hi pro cereal, I could eat that for every meal, but it has alot of carbs but sooooo much fiber!!! together, with a full serving of cereal about 22 grams of protein...
Best high protein drink:
I can't stomach any drink I have found, was fine for a while but I get most of my protein from food and.....Marty's hot chocolet, yea man.....I drink it for a HS snack and with coffee through the day......couln't live without it. I hope you have purchased some stock in some dryed milk co. cuz girl you have caused a CRAZE!!!
Best Suppliment: Optisource chewable....easy, easy easy
Best sweet treat: Hot chocolet, thats it........
Best OTC to keep around: Docusate, helps, it does it does, Zantac/Ranitidine
Cool thread.........

OK here is my paraphrase of the recipe. "Get a big ole coffee cup, fill it about 1/3 of the way full of powdered milk. Get some powdered chocolete use between 1/2-1 teasp of cocoa powder and then 1 or 2 packets of splenda.....experiment, all depends on taste. Heat some water, not to boiling, milk does'nt like boiling, and mix......." Just experiment untill you get the measurements to your liking. I like to mix up a bunch and take it to work and add it to coffee.....a great pick-me up mid-day.

Enjoy
Lori

I had surgery in December and my favorite most reliable foods are Frigo string cheese, Wendy's chili (there is a GREAT recipe for it in this forum), bananas, tangerines and tuna salad on a bed of greens.

LisaM,
Thank you for taking the time to put together this list. This is going to be very helpful for me. Squishy and I were at Walmart today looking at the protein supplements and where a bit overwhelmed. This list narrows things down and lets us know which things are "tried and true". I do realize that everyone reacts differently to foods, but this gives a starting point.
