Default Good advice

Bridget,
Great reminder. I know some days I couldn't get through the day
without a protein bar or a few nuts. It seems that over the holidays
I am having a problem keeping anything down. Must be the stress of the
time of year. I truely enjoy the holidays but I guess my pouch is not dealing
with the stress well.

Smile Ohhhhhhh

There are suggestions, not brand specific... so they are types of protein supps. that are available. I have a shake that I thought was okay... I dont remember the brand though... I do the nuts and I love Atkins Morning Start Breakfast Bars, I especially enjoy the mixed berry and apple crisp. I hope that helps!

Thanks for the information.... I must have missunderstood.. Thanks for straightening me out.

I just got back from my pre op with Dr. Potts. I was up 2 pounds no big deal with the holiday breathing down my throat.

Do they weigh you again and do blood work when you get the hospital????

Default Barbara,

I don't remember them taking anymore blood from me once in the hospital. They do not weigh you again before surgery, but they do weight you upon checking out of the hospital. It's getting so close for you, I'm excited for you!

When I checked in, they had a phlebotomist upstairs waiting for my arrival. They did draw my blood, but they didn't weigh me. They also make you do a urine sample as well if you are a female and within child bearing years and have not been "fixed" lol It is a pregnancy test they do to ensure you are not pregnant at the time of surgery..

Good luck to you.
