Default Coffee okay?

My doctor said no coffee for a year and then only decaf. I know many people that have had this surgery and that drink regular coffee all the time. I LOVE coffee and could be okay having a small cup of decaf... someday. Does anyone drink coffee on a regular basis? I will wait as long as I have to. I can smell the neighbors coffee in the morning when I am getting ready for work. It's torture!

I have coffee every day, except right now am drinking decaf cause of my TT, doc said caffeine will impede the healing process. I usually have one large cup in the morning and that gets me thru the day. I count it as part of my daily calorie intake and it does not make me hungry for anything else.

Default coffee

Gotta have it and I have no problems with it. In fact, when I was in recovery after GBS, Kelly(Dr. C's nurse practitioner) offered it to me....I frowned at it then, but months later decided it was yummy again.

I drink it everyday too. I didn't know it was a no no. Does anyone know why?

I drink mine with SF creamer but here are some stats if you drink it other ways....

Here is the caloric and fat breakdown:

Coffee = 5 calories, 0 fat

Espresso = 9 calories, 0 fat

Whole milk = (1oz/2 tablespoons) 18 calories, 1 gram fat

1 packet of sugar = 11 calories, 0 fat

Half n' half = 20 calories

2 percent milk or soy = 15 calories, .6 grams fat

Skim milk = 10 calories, .3 grams of fat

I have one of these daily. I figure that much caffeine won't kill me! I NEED that protein. I can't get it in by eating alone.

Coffee is ok with me,I have one or two Cafe Vanilla Frapps atleast 5 days a week.

I also enjoy dunking donuts coffee on my days off from work.

Listen to your Dr...but eventually everything in moderation.

I was told no coffee because it is a diuretic. Doesn't mean I don't have a half cup every now and then.
