Hi to all the UK members as well as all the others further afield.

Well had my Bypass on Monday 28th and first week under my ever decreasing belt, have to say I think I got it easy, Out of theatre around 2 pm and straight up to high dependency ward mainly down to my sleep apnea, off to the ward on Tuesday feeling surprisingly good having just come after such a major Op, very little pain at all, in fact more discomfort than pain.

On to Wednesday and all I can think about was getting out, been able to gingerly get about and potty since day one, roll on Thursday, doctors rounds at 08.15 and happy enough to have my drain removed and give up my bed for someone who is actually not well.

Finally around 2pm with drain removed, dietician and diabetic nurse both popping there heads into my little room with en suite:D I'm let out.

Just feeling better and better as the days go on, still a bit leaky where my drain was as they never taped or stitched it up, so apart from the occasional dressing change by my wonderful wife (who wont let me do anything until it heals) and now facing week 2 of the liquid diet.

Looking forward to my baby food stage, any suggestions and ideas for a shopping list would be handy like what to try what to avoid etc.

Well ranted on long enough, wishing everyone success

Cheers
Johnnie :D
