I have quite a few of the fit n' fresh containers and love them! They have the markings on the side and I just find them handy to pack up my foods in small portions before putting them in the fridge/freezer so I thought I'd share this little find.. It's a small portion prep kit.

If anyone has any old wool sweaters they aren't using anymore, I'd be interested in taking them off your hands. Because of what I would do with them, they don't need to be in perfect condition, not even wearable condition to be honest, though it'd be nice if they weren't massively torn or anything. They would also need to be 80% or more wool to be useful.

Anyway- I figured it can't hurt to ask, right? So, let me know if you have any you wouldn't mind getting rid of :)
Thanks!

Any insight on which flavors are the best? I'm sort of afraid of the mandarin orange chewable multi-vitamin because I've been taking the Centrum chewable in orange flavor and it's horrible.

So what do you guys think? Mandarin Orange or Grape Multi-Vitamin? (Can't imagine liking the Cafe Latte. Sounds weird.) Hot Cocoa or Strawberry Creme Calcium?

Thanks for the input. :)

Hi, I am sure this question has been discussed but I couldn't find any threads on it-
Who did you tell prior to surgery?
and what do you say now (if you are post op) and people ask?

I am telling the people I know will be supportive right now (my family and 2-3 friends) After the surgery I plan on being honest and telling people that Ii had surgery, if they ask. I am not going to wear a T shirt announcing the fact but I think when you lose more than 100 pounds people will figure it out!

I ran into someone who had lost alot of weight (over 200 pounds)in less then 18 months. When I asked her how she did it she did it, she said it was with "clean eating" and alot of working out. She also added that people have "seen" her at the gym while she was losing. (I thought that was an odd comment) I go to the same gym and never see her there. I only asked her bc I assumed she has surgery and thought it would be nice to talk with someone. I am happy for her bc she has lost so much but I am questioning her method. It is her business if she wants to disclose her personal info, but it made me question her integrity.

I had thought about not telling people about my surgery but I think when you lose a ton of weight (pun intended) ;) it is due to surgery (most of the time) unnless of course you are on the Biggest loser!
Also if I can help someone and educate them about WLS and how to go about doing it, that would be great.
So back to my original question....What do you say????

I've read about everything from Iron Supplements to Sleep Apnea to Depression. I must take pause and thank the Internet Gods who created forums where kindred spirits can seek each other out. I would feel very alone if not for TT and it's wonderful members.

I'm 19 days away from surgery and cleaning and organizing like a squirrel getting ready for winter. The only other time I can remember being like this was a short stretch before both of my daughter's were born. I certainly feel pregnant with my expanded waistline, but I've never had such a need to clean and organize, and prepare for surgery before.

I do have a question. The college that I teach at is having a "Holiday Celebration" on December 18th. My surgery is December 7th. Now no one can predict unforeseen circumstances, but if everything goes according to plan, should I be well enough to attend?

Your thoughts?

Ellen :)

I have updated pics in the afterlife photo section if anyone is interested.

Things are good, getting settled into my new job and my apartment. Picked up divorce papers Monday (that was so extremely tough) so that is another step.

I miss everyone and hope to be on here more, I need to focus more on my aftercare of my WLS so that is my focus - along with my new job etc.

Hope all is well!

Ok, so I have another question. I mentioned my teeth before--they are hidious. SO, i went to the dentist yesterday and got a price on getting a partial for my bottom teeth.

I am missing most of my molars ---i have none on one side and one on the other side. With my insurance, my cost would be about $650 for a bottom partial. My insurance year starts over in january, so i think it would be good to do now....For one reason, it would make it a helluva lot easier to chew to applesauce! It is really hard with no teeth. BUT, on the same token, I know my bite is going to change a lot, pretty rapidly.

WHAT DO I DO?

Get them now, to help chew? OR wait until I lose weight so they stay fitting? (how is that for awesome grammar?)

HELP!!!

(oh, they are going to replace my "chicklet" looking tooth for $20. I am so happy about that. My one front "fake" tooth is too wide, too short, too white and looks so stupid. This is a new dentist and they felt sorry for me so they are going to swap it out. How nice is that??)
