My husband is 6 years out, rouen-y gastric bypass. He was doing fine until last year and then he started having dramatic weight loss again. Long story short, they did an endoscopy and found that the rubber ring around his stomach has penetrated the stomach wall and is inside of his stomach. Half of the ring is outside and the other half is inside, making the hole from his pouch into his stomach even smaller.
We have an appt with the original gastric bypass surgeon, but I want to know if this is common or something to freak out about.
Thanks you guys, I'm really nervous he will have to have some sort of major stomach surgery.
