Great Job ladies!!! I know we will make our goals this month!

Let me know how it goes!

Audrey, Congrats on signing up to do your first walk! I have to warn you...it gets addictive! I've done 6 organized runs now and I love it! I keep my number from each of my races posted on my cork board and I write on it the time and distance that I did each one in. I've been getting faster and faster! I have a race coming up on Oct 17...the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. I'm very excited about this race...it's going to be the largest race that I have participated in yet!

Anyway, good luck to everyone and keep stepping towards those goals!!

Great idea, Judy! I'll do the same. I haven't even done the first one yet and I'm looking to see what's coming up, so I can sign up for that one!

Amy's "Hopeful" Running(jogging) Goals for October.

I really was hoping to increase and run more, but, my fatique and bloodwork: hemoglobin ,iron, and Vit D have been really low, while my pain level of being "uncomfortable" have been really high. So, that being said, these are my "hopes".

4-5 days a week of 5 to 10 miles. Month goal:150 miles

To date:

10/1- Doctor appt.
10/2 Doctor Appt.
10/4 jog- 5 miles
10/5 jog- 4.5 miles
10/6 jog- 6 miles
now it is nap time. I just can't stay awake.. Someone want to run a few times for me and give me the credit? Please?

To be updated..
Keep those "Turtles" moving.(An affectionate word for "feet" my sister and I used to use as children.

Hi Everyone!

I haven't seen any postings for a while...let me know how you guys are doing!

Just wanted to let you all know that I ran in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure this past Saturday at the Virginia Beach oceanfront. It was a very cold and rainy morning, but there were so many people there cheering us on that it made the time just fly by! I really enjoyed this race, even though my time was not great, I still had a really good time. The head wind was strong, especially when we were running on the boardwalk, and I think that is what slowed me down...but it really doesn't matter, I had a great time.

Anyway, let me know how you guys are doing... Have you signed up to run in any races? I think my next race is going to be the Turkey Trot 10k on Thanksgiving weekend. I've never done that distance, but I think I'm ready to go for it. As always, I will keep you all posted!

Take Care!
