Default Total Gym Users? (ya know the one Chuck Norris/Christie Brinkley sells)

I've been thinking about getting one of those Total Gym machines. I've even found some on craigslist in my area. Just wondering if there are any people on this forum that use it?

If you do use it, do you like it?
Is it worth the $$?
Do you use it consistantly?
Do you see results?

Any other advice, pro or con, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I grabbed one on hubbies last tour. I thought it would give me something to do while he was gone. First off, I have to state that I am NOT graceful at all. I can fall over sitting on the floor . Anyway, I got it all put together and did a set of crunches without problem. Then I tried the rowing and got tangled up and ended up having to have a hard splint on my left wrist because when the cable snapped and hit me it gave me a hair line fraction. Told ya I was not graceful. If your graceful this would probably work for you. Plus, you don't have the poundage I was trying to put on the thing. I just realized when I got rid of it that I was over the "recommended weight limit".

Yikes!

Sorry you got hurt like that Charlie! That's something I'll definitely keep in mind if I do get the machine!

Thanks for the input!

I think Claire-in-texas uses this, maybe it's a different one, but I was pretty sure she said total gym.. maybe shoot her a PM? She's not quite as active as she used to be- she's too busy living her new life lol

I have a cheap knock-off that I am now "over the weight limit" for. I always wanted one of the real things. They have two levels.

The more expensive one, of course, handles more weight and has other weight. I've read decent impartial reviews in the fitness community.

Oh no reason to be sorry.....it was actually really funny. No one else but ME could get beat up by a weight machine...lol

If nothing else pick one up at Wallyworld that way you can try it and if you don't like it you can return it. Just keep the receipt.
