Wow Amy, that is awesome! I can't imagine running the distances that you are doing...you are definitely inspiring me to try to run farther!
I know what you mean about getting dressed and out the door is the hardest part! Same for me too! Like I've said before, some days I just don't want to do it, but I make myself get changed...once I've changed my clothes, then I feel like, well, I might as well run!
Also, on a side note to everyone....Tomorrow (Sept 18th) is National Run @ Work Day! I've got about 3 guys/gals that have started running with me now at work...and it's great and it helps the time go by so much faster! We are trying to encourage other people here in the office to run with us. Maybe you all can encourage some of your co-workers too!
Take Care,

Wow, Amy! I agree with Judy, you're an inspiration!
Now, if I need to run out an buy a backup alarm, since mine didn't go off this morning.

Thanks for the pat on the back- I certainly can use that since I have lost most of my regular runnign partners. ALso to keep in mind, Nike has a day of running called the "human Race" that happens, I believe October 24. Check your local schedules- I was told this wa a national day, but- who knows, maybe they are jsut trying to get my money. Have a great evening. Get a good night's sleep so you can et up and walk.run tomorow.
Amy H
My goal for friday is 6 miles in 56 minutes. What's yours?(Not bragging, trying to encourage)

Getting ready is the real hard part. Everytime I look for an excuse not to exercise, then after I'm done I'm like wow that was really cool.
I'm also really lucky to have a good mate who trains with me. He's also trying to lose weight so we are in the same boat. The only trouble is 2 1/2 months ago I weighted 50lbs more than him and now I weight the same as him.
I now managed to get some running shorts to stop the chafing!
It would be cool to work towards a half mathalon and we have one here next summer so you never know.

Goals!
I usually walk/jog atleast 4 times a week, and average 2 to 3 miles per day when I do. So Im gonna shoot for a goal of 12 miles this week!!! As my body gets used to it, I will try to increase the amount of miles I walk/run. The days I don't walk/run, I go to the gym 2 tiems a week, and they just started an open swim program at my local high school, I was thinking of doing that!!! Wish me luck!
9/21- Walked 2 miles
9/22-Walked 3 miles- and my butt was dragging
9/23-No walk today, had meet the teacher night for my son!
9/24-Walked 2 miles on my lunch break!!!
9/25-No walk today, went swimming!!
9/26-Walked 3 miles today
9/27-

First goal
Hello everyone-
Well I am almost 6 weeks post up and just started exercising. I knew it was time to get my butt up and work out. It is slow. I have managed to get on the treadmill twice. Both times for 25 mins.including warm up and cool down. I ended up finishing just a litlle over a mile each time. I know it's not a lot but hey it's a start. Felt really good afterwards but legs are a bit sore which actually feels good . I work 4 days a week with a brutal commute but in order to meet my goal I am going to have to get up early one of these mornings. I tried to do it this morning but sleep beat out the good intentions.....So I am making a goal for at least 3X a week on the treadmill for the rest of this month. Thanks everyone. I love the support!
9/20 - 25 mins on treadmill 1.15 miles
9/21- 25 mins on treadmill 1.15 miles

That's a great goal and very attainable! Setting a goal and making a routine will help you so much in the long run. I know it is easy to give in to that sleep monster, or just give in and not do it anytime of day, but we just have to keep the goal in mind and not let ourselves give in to those temptations. You'll do great! Please keep us posted!

Hi, y'all. I don't know why I'd been feeling so lazy and blah, but I did run yesterday! I decided to go to 4.5 and ran 3 miles. Let's see what comes now!
