Unhappy MY OH MY THIGHS!! :o(

What have you done for your thighs lately? DOES ANYTHING WORK? I can live with the little skin that I have on my belly, heck if it were not for my thighs I'd be wearing a bikini. I just can not believe the amount of pockets on my thighs.... Can anyone explain this to me? I am so embarrassed about it I do not ever want to wear shorts again. How in the world is this possible? I went from 240 (was over 200 maybe 3 years total) and back down to 143 now. I just never remembered having this when I was younger (I am 28 now). Is there anything that can work to get rid of this. Will it go away with more exercise? I have been running everyday and notice a huge difference in my tummy but nothing in the thigh area. I also do weight training and work out 5 days a week.

Worst part is that I am having to spend 4 days in a swimming suit at a big local resort in front of my in-laws. I am so not looking forward to this. But have another month before then.

Just wanted to vent and get some opinions on this. I am thrilled with my success thus far but so sad to think I will never want to get in a swimming suit again.....

If you are that uncomfy in a suit they have board shorts for girls that you can get. I got a pair last year from Wal Mart. Sorry don't know what you can do about the "skin". My thighs are big also, and that's why I go with the board shorts for my bottoms.

Not gonna sugarcoat it...if you have too much stuff there...then surgery is the only option...sadly it seems its harder for women to tone up in those ares...and if your skin has stretched too much then thats it....it usually depends on how much weight you have lost and your starting point...if you need to lose only 100-150 lbs...your chances are better than someone that has to lose 200-or more.

I know exactly how you feel. My thighs look awful. I was lamenting about them to my daughter and she told me that they look better than they did when I was big. So I guess that's some consolation. Also, since I don't get out in the sun much I started using this stuff by Nivea called Sun-Kissed Beautiful legs. I've been using it for a few days now. It does nothing for tightening the skin, but it does give them some color and they do look a bit better. Just a thought anyway.

I know there's all kinds of skin firming lotions out there, but I've heard they don't do anything.

I have lot's of wobbly bits already and it's only going to get worse lol .... but I don't really care ... I'll take every bit of wobble that comes along with being able to MOVE again

.... I know I'm being a bit flippant and I know this is an important issue to you .. I think Jeanies idea is a great one ... they are something that will help hold you in and give you a little more cover up so you feel more confidant.

There will never be a bikini in my future ... I faced that and accepted it and moved on from it long ago lol

Default How About a Sarong?

You could pair a really cute sarong with your suit. You can buy them at Walmart, Target, etc., in the swimsuit section. Basically, it's just a really big piece of material that you can wrap around you and tie in different ways. Wear it short and show off those legs. Or, wear it a little longer (mine would be dragging on the ground) to cover up those stubborn areas!!

It really looks cute, and you can cover up those areas that you aren't quite ready for the in-laws to see, yet.

Have fun...you'll look great!!

First, I am at least glad I am not the only one. My thighs are still huge. Well to be honest my entire leg is still huge. I did buy a two piece bathing suit but, to cover up my thighs I got the one that is like a litte skirt. It covers up a bit. Mostly that upper inner thight. Then, I just don't look at them. (my legs) Like someone said before, they were a lot worse! I got my bathing suit at Academy.

Oh, and I just started a Spinning class, working the Elliptical, and the hip abductor for inner thighs. Let's see if it works. But we must be persistent to see results. Maybe by December I will see some results...LOL

Good Luck!
