I am curious what a safe heart rate while exercising is. I do weight training and prefer that and like the results, but also do cardio (which I hate) just to get a good balance. I started doing the recline exercise bike and have been doing it for a few months now. I only do 20 minutes on it and honestly that about kills me. It's more of a workout for me than when I used to run 1 1/2 miles 3 times a week. Why I ask is the past few times I have been on it, my heart rate has gone up to as high as 160 and a message goes across the screen that say HIGH HEART RATE..so I am worried that I am about to have a heart attack or something. It doesn't stay there for long because I start trying to deep breathe and slow it down plus it is near the end of my time.
