Default Exercise Post-Op

I have a question. I am Pre-Op. I started exercising slowly 6 months ago, walking and weights, and now i really enjoy it. I was wondering how long do you have to wait Post-Op to get back into it? Or is everyone different? I really don't want to get too much off my schedule.

Also, after the gastric is it difficult to get enough calories in to go for a long walk? or be away from the bathroom long? thank you

I was told not to do anything more strenuous than walking for about six weeks, but to walk as soon as possible and as much as possible. I haven't really had a hard time getting enough calories to exercise, and I can be away from the bathroom for a while.

Now everyone is different. But my Dr. told me to walk at least 20 minutes a day and add a minute or two every day..

Now in my case I'm actually doing alot more. I feel more than capable to do so. My wife and I do roughly a 5K which is 3.2 miles every other day..

I was back at the gym like 2.5 weeks out working out.. but keep in mind I took it slow. I would do the eliptical machine, but more like a walk.. and then I would do weights and I have a 15 lb weight restriction so I did 10 lbs and only on arms and I watched what belly movement I was doing. If it was a machine that did more belly then arms, I skipped it. Take it slow.
