Default Unable to exercise right now

I am bummed because I was just getting into the habit of exercising regularly and I was actually starting to enjoy. Right now I can't do it because of my back problems. My doctor didn't actually tell me I can't exercise, but it is too painful. I can hardly walk it is so painful. I've had back problems for some time now, but was able to exercise anyway, but the condition recently worsened considerable. I haven't seen the back specialist yet since it got worse, but I will ask him about exercise the next time I see him. I will be going to physical therapy, but I'm not sure that really counts as exercise. I don't expect it will be very challenging or really get my heart rate up much. What do other people do if they can't really exercise? I feel I really need it in order to keep losing at this point.

I am sorry to hear that your back is not feeling well. I do know though that there are videos that you can buy that has exercises for people who can't stand (mostly geared towards seniors...anyone can use them) Its all sitting! Maybe its something you can look into just to have around for times when you back is not feeling good!
Good Luck!
