Default Easy excersie ideas?

I need some easy things I can do during the day to burn off some extra calories. I hate excerise and I hate the gym so it's a bit of a challenge.

My doctor recommends "water walking." You just walk in a pool with the water about chest deep. It's very easy to do, just about anyone can do it. In many ways, it's easier than walking on land because the pool is flat, and you also don't really sweat since you're in the water. It's supposed to be better exercise than just walking on flat ground, though.

Residential VoIP
hockey fights
I've begun to do a couple of things at work to increase my physical activity and burn a few extra calories. On my breaks I take the stairs between floors instead of the elevator. It's only two flights but I'm going up and down 3x a day. Sometimes I get out and walk a little bit just for a change of scenery.

I've also picked up gardening as a torture..er hobby. It's a constructive activity in so many ways. It's rewarding too.

As someone mentioned walking in a pool is excellent exercise. The water supports some of your weight so if you've got joint pain issues it eases the pain and it provides resistance so you're actually working harder than you would just walking on land. If you really want to boost your water workout get some foam dumbbells.

Wrestling with the jewel case of a brand new music CD is worth at least 200 calories. I swear out loud everytime I open one. It's the devil's packaging.
