MEEEEEEEEEEE TOO! I'm out 9.5 months from my surgery and I'm down 80 lbs. I've done everything right - exercise, protein, water, vitamins, etc. We just have to keep our (not-so double anymore) chins up! Our bodies have gone through EXTREME shock... When I get discouraged that I'm on a stall, I have to remind myself that I have lost 80 POUNDS - WHO CAN SAY THAT?! I now weigh what I weighed when I was 13 years old! KEEP PLUGGING AWAY!

Talking thanks!

I know - I should be happy that i've lost 95 pounds! Really few can say that!! I just wish it would come off as fast as in the first few months - I just have to get my butt off the couch and moving again. I really haven't been exercising and I think its about time to kick it in gear! THanks for the encouragement!

That will DEFINATELY help - our metabolisms are completely out of whack. Get that exercise going and I bet you'll start to drop some more. We're TOTALLY out of the honeymoon phase. Like they say - the surgery is a tool - 25% of the loss is from the surgery, 75% of it comes from YOU... eating right and exercise. Get your butt off that couch! Fall is here... the weather should start cooling off... Best to start now before the holidays get here!

I'd recommend ditching the scales and using a tape measure.

I never had scales in the house during my losing phase - they went out with all the other crap from my puffy life.

I relied upon hospital/NUT visits which worked out roughly every 4 weeks and there wasn't a visit when I didn't register a respectable loss.

Keep focussed on following the programme and step up the exercise. And make sure you're eating enough. Our body catches on real quick and if it's not getting enough nourishment then it'll go into starvation mode and will hoard the fat rather than burning it up.

My tip is to eat 4-6 times a day. Eating when you're starving is a recipe for disaster. You end up making unwise choices and you eat quicker too. It takes time (up to 20 minutes) for your body to tell your brain that it's had enough food so don't let yourself get too hungry and weigh and measure out your food. That'll lesson your chances of overeating.

And ditch the carbie stuff like bread, pasta, rice, crackers etc. and kick up your consumption of veg and fruit (lots of good carbs there).
