thanks for posting a mini review of this. I saw an add for it a week ago or so, looked pretty good - very customzable (is that a word? lol). Thought about looking into buying it. Toss up between that and Jillian's.

The Wii has been baned from our home. My son threw the remote through our TV. no more Wii. But before that happened if was getting killed by it, shoulders, legs, back were hurting and my fat was hurting too. I think my hair was hurting. Its a friggin video game its not suppose to hurt you.

I haven't used my Wii in forever! I really must get started with it again. It really is fun.

I bought My Fitness Coach when it was on sale a couple of months ago, but I haven't tried it out yet.

My friend just got the Wii Active and holy crap does that thing work you! She let me try it out and all I did was the lunges and some other thingie with the band, and I was sore in my thighs for days (I think the key is they force you to do them correctly and long enough to really make a difference, I doubt I'd ever do them correctly otherwise)! I really want to get a Wii in general, and also for the active stuff.

I have the wii fit and loved it at the beginning- my only thought is I wish there were more games and maybe a step to add to build it up- it is not that challenging for me anymore- but I still get on it and play...I did see the active but I have been wanted the dance dance game...also I want Jillians game Im thinking about seeing if I can rent it to see if it would be good for me or not... Is that possible at like blockbuster?

The Wii and wii fit (and/or wii active?) are the top things on my list when I get a full time job! Even DH agrees since he's sick of hearing about it, LOL.

I almost scored one from one of my son's roommates when he was selling his off.. someone else was willing to pay more than me so I lost out. oh well.

I've not heard anything negative about it outside of a few complaints about the price! heh.

I love the wii fit. We got the reg thing for the kids for Christmas and then I got the wii fit for mothers day. But everyone loves it. I haven't had any extra energy to do it most the time but I will occasionlly and it is easier the getting everyone to the gym.
I would live to try out Jillian's as well. Is it rentable?

We've got the wii fit at home too, but I rarely touch it. Got it mostly for my daughter - I usually prefer the gym. The 'fit' games i did try when we got it didn't really seem that challenging and barely got my heart rate up. Not saying it's a bad program, the gym just works better for me - always has.

Thanks for suggesting (or rather asking about) the rental deal. Some larger chains (blockbuster, hollywood) might have it available. I hadn't even thought of it, but that would be a real good way to test it before investing in them. The only thing I can think why they wouldn't, might be that it's mostly kids renting and they're gonna want to taylor the supply to them. Maybe they can get it on request if they don't carry it???
