It's taken quite a bit of trial and error to figure out what it needs for the action. My daughter was frustrated with it at first (she's 14)...but buggered around with it for a few hours one day and finally got some of it down. I haven't touched it since...need to remind my self to pick it back up in the evening to replace the gym right now.

I didn't get this because I read really bad reviews from people having the same issues. I haven't had any trouble at all with the wii active, even when my 8 year old uses it.

We bought the Wii Active this afternoon. My wife wanted it before, but after hearing reviews, we decided to go for it.

I'm still a fat boy, and haven't had surgery. I currently way around 380 lbs, and the game would only let me go as high as 300. I started a 30 day plan on low intensity. My first work-out showed a 190 calorie burn.

Wow.

My legs are shaky, and I felt like I couldn't get up earlier after sitting down. I found the inline skating to be from the devil.

I work at a desk most of the days, so I don't get a lot of physical activity.

This may not be the ideal thing for someone that has already lost a lot of weight and in decent shape, but for a couch potato fat boy, it was horrible. I mean it was great, but horrible. Make sense?

I would recommend it for sure.

I did the inline skating on the EA Active about 5 times 2 days ago and I'm still in tons of pain. It's a great workout and I'm trying to lose some weight while I do my supervised diet. I had a really hard time fitting the theigh band on and it ended up closer to my knee than anything.

I had a hard time with the strap as well. I ended up using the little extra piece of velcro they give you (I think it is actually to help make it smaller), and adding it to the end, basically making an extension. It worked for me.

That's a good idea I never thought of that. I'll have to give it a try tomorrow.

Johnita
I had DDR when it was out for the original Playstation, and I LOVED it way back then. It had been about two or three years since I played it, but my hubby and I saw the arcade game when we were in Vegas on our honeymoon, and I made him play with me (this was just over two years ago). He took a step off after just the first round and FELL flat on his face!!

Right now, my knees can't handle it. I just dusted off my Wii Fit this morning and did yoga with my son first thing after we got up. Did a few of the other games on it... it's not as grueling of an exercise as most people should have, but for people like me who haven't been honestly exercising more than once or twice a week, it's a pretty good place to start! Plus, it's inside and out of the Arizona desert summer heat.

I can't wait until I am in good enough shape for my knees to take kindly to DDR again. I've put it on my birthday list. I'm sure my son will love playing it with me, too!
