I got the Wii Active for my birthday on Saturday. I tried it out for the first time yesterday. I did the 30 day challenge on easy, and I am SORE today. I have been mainly using the elliptical and doing crunches before now. Well, let me tell you. Lunges will make your Quads sore, the running will make your calves sore, and the bicep curls will make your arms sore. I really enjoyed it. I like that it is a workout, rather than one exercise, then choosing another, like the Wii fit.

Anyone else using the Wii Active?

I did the 30 day challange as well and was soooooooooo sore for 4 days after so now I do the one where you can make your own routine and I like that much better so now I can work my arms one day and my legs another and not over do it. I also bought an exercise ball and I do my crunches on it and I love it. I am glad to hear that other people are using it as well. I also would like to try out Jillians and see how that one is. I know though with the wii active if I do a 30 minute routine and include a run in it I get my heart rate up and burn lots of calories and that is what I want the most. I also go to curves and do 30 minutes there as well and that helps a lot. I have maintained an average loss of 12 - 14 lbs of weight loss each month and I am 4 months post op and my surgeon said that I was right on track with what he wanted to see. I only have 12 lbs more to go before I hit ONEDERLAND!!!!

I tried Wii Active over the week-end and I hated it. Its just too slow for me. Having to wait for the little women to go before I could move was tedious and then it would get stuck so I would get fustrated at that. Then it would tell me I was going to fast LOL. Some of the activities didn't keep my heart rate up high enough. That workout level was more of a level 5 most of the time and I like to work out at a level 7...level 8. The only part I liked was the inline skates.

Susan, I seen a step thing you can add to the balance board. Not sure where I seen it but it is newer. It is like one of those steppers used for aerobics. I might have seen it in the Best Buy ad or something.

We just bought the Wii Fit yesterday. I worked out on it for 45 mins....omgish I can't believe it. I'm sore today!!

I love the hula hoops.....that is super fun! I have never tried Yoga in my life and WOW just the few things that I did yesterday were awesome. I'm going to workout on it in a bit and see if I can't unlock more.

I have the Wii Fit and the Wii Active, and I love it. I'm recovering from a dislocated knee, and I'm so bummed that I haven't been able to use it. I only got to use the Active one time before I hurt myself!

By the way....I have worked out on the Wii Fit and I'm on day #3 now and I'm so sore!! My calf muscles are the worse. I decided that on Saturday I was going to run in place with the Mii (Wii guy) and OMGish...I'm sore. I did the run twice though. Each day I've been doing between 30-45 mins of mixed exercises.

I actually like doing the Yoga and the strength training.
