Default So I stepped it up

Today I went to my local gym and joined again. I say again because I have worked out at numerous places through out the years. I did 30 minutes, 2 miles on the eliptical machine from hell. AND! I have a date to do it again all over tomorrow. So, I am offical...I am a gym rat.
I'm very proud of myself.

Have a great day!

Well you should be proud of yourself Kimberly...that's fantastic! Congrats and I know it's hard at first but pretty soon it'll be part of your daily life routine.

Default WooHoo!!

That is great and good for you!! You know, part of what is keeping my weight off and coming off is that even after 2 years, I'm in there every day. Now when I hit goal, maybe I'll slow down to 5 days a week, but I don't really know. I certainly reap MANY benefits from moving my bod as much as possible - especially with mood. I am so much more balanced and calm if I'm out working my muscles a couple hours a day. It is what we were meant to do!

Keep it up! You're doing the best thing for yourself you ever could!!

Ladies,

Thank you so very much for the support it means the world to me. Today, I made it to the gym of hell and tomorrow I'm going to try my hardest to get there by 4:30AM.. it's way cooler in the mornings for working out. I'm more likley to do different machines if I don't feel like all eyes are on me, till I get in the swing of things again. But going, that's half the battle. I'm working on making my liver smaller for my surgeron, I sure hope he appreicates it!

Have a great holiday,

Cheers'

Deborah - let me tell you - that has made all the difference in the world. My surgeon told me at my first month post-op visit that I was what he called a "hard loser". Like, even though I don't eat, it is VERY difficult to convince my body to let go of the weight. I think you might relate to that, no? So I have to work VERY hard for every pound that comes off. That is at least part of why I'm still inching toward goal at more than 2 years out. Part of it is denial too, but I'll resist that topic.

When I know I have to work out EVERY single day, there is no question, no excuse etc. Honesty, if the kids are sick, I will miss a day and not panic. Last night John and I went to a movie and I ended up not working out...no biggie. Missing once in a while is a heck of a lot better than getting there once in a while!!!
