I think the elliptical is easier than the treadmill. It hurts every joint to walk on the treadmill. As soon as you get used to the weird flow of the elliptical its a better choice all around.

Deb...I'm so proud of you, that's freakin' awesome! Exercise is just as much a tool as our pouches...and you have to work them both!

That elliptical machine is the devil.

I've made it to 55 minutes, but I started at 2 minutes. I usually do between 25 and 45 minutes now and then some treadmill action as well (10-15 minutes).

I am totally different in the gym now than when I started in October. I'm not a machine or anything, but I'm definitely better at sweating like hog.

I just came in from working the trainer. My arms are like flippers and I can't feel my legs. I'm just glad it's over for the day!

Way to go Deb!

-Mike

You go Deb!!! The elliptical is really good for burning calories. 2 years ago I could go over an hour, now 5 minutes and I'm ready to die. I started before 3-5 minutes a couple of times a day and worked it up weekly as I tolerated. That is the one thing really nice about having one in your house is that you can get on it several times a day until you get used to it. It works really well to have the elliptical facing the TV and to put a good movie in. The commercials on TV shows always mess me up. I've been doing 45 minutes on the treadmill at the gym it makes my feet hurt. I guess I'm gonna have to get on my elliptical at home so I can work up to the the one in the gym. My treat after working out at the gym is to tan in the tanning bed for 10 minutes every couple of days. I'm getting a little color and my mood has improved.

You're right...all you have to do is set your mind to do it and JUST DO IT.
It's not easy but exercise works ( I can't believe I'm saying that...wow...things have sure changed )
