Default I am wishing I could exercise

I have congestive heart failure(Hypertension too long)left ventricle dysfunction. I have a new in the box Proform bike(stationary) just waiting for me.I have diabetes complications too! Oh ,how things used to be so different ,when i was healthier.I haven't commmited for the lapband, but am on a diet. I have lost inches. I am soon going to see my cardiologist to see what can be done for me(to get me going) I am very weak, when i try to do anything. I get faint also and dizzy. I am hopeful. I would like to join a gym near Downey, Norwalk thats monthly. I don't want to shell out $1000 for a year and not like it. I wonder if i get lapband , i may not be able to exercise like i should. But i still have to try soon when my insurance kicks in. Another member at thinner times (french vanilla is helping me)to guidev me towards info at cedar sinai. I hope all of you are doing well ,May God bless you and give you his gifts to succeed.wilbzbooboo@gmail.com

Check to see if the YMCA has a pool that you could do water aerobics in. It is easier on you, but you do need the strength to get in and out of the pool. The lifegaurds will help if needed. My doc suggested it for me and it was so much easier than working out on equipment.. If not the Y, check to see if the other places have a pool for you to take water aerobics. It is just a thought..
Hope you get good news from your cardiologist.
Hugz,
Tina

Default Consult physician statement

You know that "Consult a physician before beginning any exercise program" thing you hear all the time? Yea - that is for you. If you have heart failure, diabetes and pass out - don't you dare set a foot into that gym until your doctor tells you to! I know you're going to see him or her, but really - be careful. The stress your body is under is huge. You may have to start your activity program in physical therapy or something - depending upon what your complications are.

First things first - start the diet, lose some weight, check with the doctor - when you get cleared be VERY specific about what is okay to do. You will have to monitor your heart VERY carefull. BE CAREFUL!

I know you're excited and I am sure all will work out for you, but your post has me having kittens! Do NOT start exercising until your medical situation is stable!

Just my quiet and humble opinion.

I'll do just that. This was my main concern (my weakness and dizziness)I was thinking a health club ,but it would be so hard to accomplish.Therapy sounds good until the doctor's think i am ready for a gym. They will probably(maybe my heart doctor too)put me on ekg and what not?
Thanks for advise it is priceless and all my prayers are with you!Maybe a motorcycle when i finish everythingJerry

Hi ,I am going crazy, calling all these doctors(has nothing to do with lap band). It's like this; i was in the hospital twice in '06.I didn't have insurance so i applied and just recently it will pay retroactive ,all the way back to 1/1/06.The people at Compspec who helped me to get insurance says."i need old bills"(mine you 2years ago). I threw them away.So i called medical records to find ,what doctors worked on me.They're at a wherehouse and tommorow should have them. Now today ,i called some doctors, i remember some and they say it is at collections. So i called them and they are sending out the bills to me.Finally.... just a little more work and then BAMMMM over.I could say screw it ,but that'll hurt me laterlus if there going to pay, why not? Having chicken today and rice ,i think it should be done soon.My brother is driving from Ohio to Downey,Ca to leave off a car ,that was given to my parents. It will be pretty cool to have insurance(good). I hope the best is finding you in N.Y.
