Default Whats that 1 thing you cant wait to do

as far as excersize when you loose your weight or "goal" prize so to speak.

Mine is..... to hike down the grand canyon with my 15 year old daughter and then go on a 2 day white water river camping trip and catch a ride back UP the canyon! I totally cant wait. She's not thrilled but i sure am

I want to try snow skiing. I've never been small enough to consider giving it a whirl.

well, there are two.. both of which I've mentioned before... one is to get that tandem bike with my honey.. and ride through VT together...

and to take dance lessons and dance with my honey. though.. we're going to take them regardless of weight, once I'm in VT.. not gonna wait to make 'goal'..

Two things come to mind for me:

Running - for fitness purposes and marathon participation.
Riding - I have always loved horses and I really want to ride.

And finally one small indulgence - a well tailored women's suit from my favorite designer. I've been waiting a lifetime for this one!

These sorts of goals are so important to me! I'm joining a softball team this year, which I am soooooooo excited about! I also grew up snow skiing and used to be quite good. Then I got too fat to buckle my boots or fit into my snow clothes (even too big to fit into my 6'3" stepfather's clothes!). I bet I could fit into everything now, but it's too late in the season to try. Next winter, though, I will be up there again! Heavenly, here I come!

Like everyone on here, I bet, I have a whole list of "non-numerical" goals. These are even more rewarding than seeing numbers on the scale (which is ticking me off right now!). Airplane seats, roller coasters, etc. I already have gotten to see how well I fit into sharing seats on BART, and in June I'm flying (flying!) to Vegas for my birthday with one of my best friends -- woo hoo! That is definitely something I never would have tried just last year. When I was big, I was practically a hermit, always turning down invitations or avoiding being in a position to have to turn things down. Not anymore!

Another "active" goal is to feel comfortable enough to try any and all new things. I have an adventurous spirit at heart, which I severely curtailed during my obese years. I want to try jetskiing! Go snorkling again in Hawaii! Or just put on a swim costume of some sort (I'll never be a bikini gal, so I'm looking into those cute shorts type outfits) and not be terrified.

I love this life!!

More than anything I just want to be comfortable in my own skin and not be ashamed or scared to go places and do things. It has held me back a little bit as a big girl but I have still done some stuff... I went to Jamaica in 2005, flown back and forth between Hawaii, hiked into secret spots, wore a swimsuit on the beach, but to do all this and not be ashamed of how I look and feel comfortable doing it will be priceless to me.

I just wanna dance!!!

I know what you mean. My biggest passion was golf. I had tickets for the US Open a few years ago but couldn't go. My weight and the increased pressure of sciatica in my back made walking impossible. I never felt so low as that moment. I had clubs and all the gear but I was really too large to play. Swinging the club was nearly impossible and wreaked havoc on my body.

However, I'm proud to admit that I was on the course last summer strutting my stuff and out pacing those much smaller than myself. Aside from improved health and an increasingly positive self-image, the surgery restored something I loved dearly. I'm certain you'll feel the same in the months to come.
