Default I love my curves!

I joined Curves on April 4!

I love it!

Despite being a gym rat for months, I know that I have been slacking BIG TIME>

But that is all behind me. I worked out 6 days last week and feel great.

I go in the evening and most of the time I'm the only one there. I prefer that. I can step up the cardio and shake to the beat of the music and not feel humilated.

whew....glad I got that off my chest

I tried Curves on a 2-month gift certificate. It really didn't do much for me as I felt I spent more time trying to rush from one station to another. While I believe the stations are good, they are perhaps 20-30 seconds each and not enough repetitions to make it worth the while. The salon I attended had 20 stations so one and a half times was 30 minutes.

I hope you continue to enjoy your Curves and do well!

Teri

Actually that's the real reason I love to be there with only the trainer. I can do a minute each and extend it to an hour.

POWER WORKOUT lol

She's also got some great mambo and salsa moves for the cardio.

I'll see how it works out when I weigh in on cinco de mayo. At this point, it certainly beats seating on the sofa watching "The Biggest Loser" and feeling depressed because I **know** I should be doing something

At the very least it's a good start. The 30 minutes go by before you know it.

You know...that remix of Professional Widow would work really well at the gym!
Congrats, Manda--you're doing awesome!

(I only went 3 days...but I walked the neighborhood 4 or 5 times too...)

Keep it up!

My daughter wanted us to join, but I won't give my money to Curves because of the founder & CEO Gary Heavin due to the causes he supports.

Urban Legends Reference Pages: Curves

(I know this is just my opinion and I don't hold any judgment to those that do support him.. it's just not how I want my money to be used, is all.)

Oh no!

Thanks for that link! I had no idea. I don't know if that would have changed my decision to join. I like the women only policy. I DID stop ordering Dominos pizza because they supported Operation Resuce and now I find that myth has been debunked. I guess getting my info from the movie Reality Bites was not the best move
And I never ever shop Walmart.

Anywho,
heres the good news from my curves report:

Total pounds lost 12
Total inches lost 19
body fat pounds 7.66

3 inches from my waist
2.5 abdomen
8.0 thighs
2.0 arms

now the bad news:
0 hips
0 abdomen
3.5 boobs

^tell me about it.

I went to the new Avenue that recently opened near me. I took advantage of the "professional bra fitting" advertised on the dressing room mirror.

I am still a D and the girls look much better. I was doing the whole sports bra thing for a while and it didn't give me the support/lift I needed.
