Did you exercise today?
Who moved to lose today? Its Monday and the best way to start the week is by moving.
I went to the gym on my lunch break - oh how nice it is to have a gym close by. I have no excuse now. Bring in something for lunch and hit the gym.
So how about you, what did you do today?

I'm a bad girl...
Usually go to the gym afterwork (3 times a week) but tonight is out. I'm going to a WL support group. But will make it up later in the week!

I need people to push me and keep me motivated. I had thoughts of backing out of going to the gym today. I have to admit it felt good once I got there. I did 5.5 miles on the stationary bike and did some stairs at work.

UGH....the question for me would be..."Who moved to lose this year"... I just can not get my butt to exercise... between getting up at 4am...working full time...picking the kids up at 3:15 and then getting them to their sports/choir/etc... then making dinner, doing homework, having "alone" time with hubby (can I count that as exercise?), etc. How the heck do you fit in exercise?

Mondays are my day because I am at work from 8 - 7. I take a longer lunch and get to the gym. I am still trying to figure out the rest of the week. I wish the gym had a day care center. I am considering working an extra hour each day so that I can extend lunch hour but who wants to work later. I want to be home with the kiddos and the new puppy.

I did ....just got back from my walk and went straight into cleaning the kitchen and downstairs bathroom. I'll probably kick the soccer ball around the back yard with the kids when they get home too.

Ooo - ooo - me, me!!
Today was my first day back (well, I did go in Sat.) in the last 9 days. Yes - the musical ruled my life for 9 days, but now it is over and boy am I glad to get back into my routine.
Since I have this two mile run with my students on Sunday, I just did two miles this moring, but as fast as I could manage. I went two miles in about 18 minutes, 40 seconds. Of course I thought I was going to die, but I have a student who I know does close to 9 minute miles, so I have to save face! (We trash talk eachother during rehearsals, it is HILARious - she may just kick my butt... We'll see - but the other 12 running with me for sure I'll be waiting for) I also have students who are going to carry my glasses and warm-up pants. They claim to be planning to be crawling the two miles.
Anyway - ran and walked, burned only 350 caloies, but it is my first day back. And I feel great!!

What is a recombent bike?
I will do my daily Gazelle session for 1 hour tonight, and a denise austin 30 minute workout. Kim, you will be glad to know I am joining the gym this week finally.

Cassie,
The recumbent bike is a bike with a seat with a back on it, not the skinny little butt busting seat like the other bikes... if you have back or hip issues it's an excellent choice. I have hip knee and back issues, and this doesn't give any of them problems. I've had to work up to what I'm doing now, and am looking forward to getting stronger on it...I started with this to build up my stamina...sometimes I do 1/2 hour on the treadmill and 1/2 hour on the bike.
