Default my latest hike

I went to Seven Falls at the Santa Catalina Mountains in Tucson Saterday.
Dh and Chad (my friend) joined me on this hike so I was in good company, as usual. We arrived at 11:00 I had plenty of water, a snack in my pack and was eager to hit the trail. We began on a gravel road that gently crossed a nice stream our first of a total of seven crossings. After the seventh crossing, the trail climbed up the south wall of the canyon with a couple of long switchbacks. It was here that I started to feel dizzy and started to doubt that I'd make it but after sitting and talking with Gary for 5 minutes I regain my courage to continue. Chad didn’t wait on us at this point and ventured the rest of the trip on his own. The trail eventually ascended to the base of Seven Falls. I was exhausted but still managed to climb up to the 3rd level of waterfall to capture a few more pictures. Being it was 3:00 we decided we better head back before the sun went down and loose our way. The walk back was easier but still painful once we were on the last leg of the trail; I really had a hard time and had to stop to rest again. My legs and lower back were in so much pain, I clearly didn't remember it being that far. Finally we arrived back at the Jeep; it was 6:30 and dark. I'm glad I made the trip it was a personal challenge for me, but I tell ya Sunday, I hurt so friggin bad I could hardly walk. I figured out why I hurt so bad. My research on the hike was wrong. I had thought it was 4 miles there and 4 miles back but it turns out it was 8.5 miles there and another 8.5 miles back. This was a much more challenging hike than I've ever done. My legs still hurt but my back seems to be much better today. I could have never done this in the past 15 years. I'm amazed... Here's some pics
